In this paper we examine the view of Mental illness is in a male dominated organization and what strategies are used to handle Mental illness by the organization and the individual. We conduct semi structured qualitative interviews with persons who have in some way been in contact with Mental illness within the organisation, we then encode our material from a themed analysis. We analyze the material and illustrate our problem area on the basis of Erving Goffmans theories of interaction and on R.W. Connells theory of hegemonic masculinity. We also show how previous studies of how men seek help for Mental illness can help to enlighten our research area.

Mental health problems among young people - causes and actions Results from several studies indicate that the prevalence of Mental illness among young people has increased recently. This paper has a qualitative approach where three counselors and a school nurse was interviewed. The purpose of this study is to try to get an idea of how these staff are working with young people suffering from Mental illness at school. The aim is also to examine whether there is an opportunity for the staff to work proactively to promote mental health..

Backround: Many studies indicate that people with Mental illness often suffer from physical illness. Many people with Mental illness do not exercise even though they often have knowledge about the benefits of physical activity. Studies suggest that psychiatric patients have the desire to have an everyday life with more content. It is apparent in studies that healthcare professionals believe that it is the patients' own responsibility to keep themselves physically active.Aim: The primary objective with this study is to examine motivation and possible obstacles to exercise for persons with self-perceived Mental illness and experience of psychiatric care. The secondary objective is to investigate how psychiatric care may be of importance to people with Mental illness when it comes to exercise.Methods: Semi-structured interviews.

Background: Studies showed differences in attitudes towards patients with Mental illness in nurses who worked in somatic care compared to nurses who worked in psychiatric care. The nurses in somatic care stated more negative attitudes to Mental illness in relation to the nurses in psychiatric care.
